Who we are

Stereo Markets (“Stereo”, “we”) runs this website and the Stereo Markets app, a market analysis tool that is currently in early access. This policy explains what personal data we handle, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. Questions go to info@stereomarkets.com.

This website

The website sets no cookies and runs no analytics or advertising scripts. Two providers see ordinary technical data when you load it:

• GitHub Pages hosts the site and, like any web server, processes your IP address to deliver it. See the GitHub Privacy Statement.
• Google Fonts serves the typefaces, so your browser requests them from Google. See the Google Privacy Policy.

When you email us

If you write to us, for example to request early access, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message. We use it to reply and, if you asked, to invite you to the app. We do not add you to a mailing list you did not ask to join. Our mailbox is hosted by Zoho Mail.

When you use the app

To run your account and portfolio, the app stores:

• Account details: your email address and sign-in credentials, managed by our authentication and database provider, Supabase.
• Portfolio data you add or import: holdings, trades, closed positions and daily snapshots of portfolio value used for risk figures such as drawdown.
• Analyses and settings: the analyses you run and your preferences, such as trader or investor mode and display currency.

Every row is tied to your account, and the database itself enforces that only you can read or change it.

Broker connections and imports

• Read-only broker login (Upstox, Fyers): the access token your broker issues stays in your browser tab’s session storage. It is never sent to or stored on our servers, it is attached only to requests to your broker, and it expires within a day. The holdings it returns are saved to your portfolio.
• CSV imports: the file you upload is read to extract holdings or trades. We keep the resulting positions, not the file.

Market data

To price your holdings and run analyses, our servers request quotes, price history and company financials from Yahoo Finance. Those requests contain ticker symbols, not your name, email address or portfolio.

What we do not do

• We do not sell or rent personal data.
• We do not show advertising or use third-party analytics or tracking.
• We do not use your portfolio to trade, or share it with brokers or anyone else.

Service providers

We rely on Supabase (database and sign-in), the hosting providers that run the app and its analysis engine, GitHub (this website) and Zoho (email). They process data on our behalf to provide the service, and some may store it outside India.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is open. You can clear your portfolio at any time from the app’s settings. To close your account and delete everything tied to it, email info@stereomarkets.com from the address you signed up with, and we will confirm once it is done.

Your rights

Subject to applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or erased, and raise a grievance about how it is handled. Email info@stereomarkets.com and we will respond.

Children

Stereo is not intended for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be emailed to app users.
